Before knowing about the autoimmune paleo diet I was eating pretty much everything in moderation…

I thought I was just aging when my energy levels started going down and I started gaining weight…

Then one month, out of nowhere I gained 40 lbs…

I had to buy a whole new wardrobe…

Within a couple of weeks my new bigger jeans were fitting tight… my belly started to hang over my belt…

I felt like a whale if I took my shirt off…

I thought eating lean meats and veggies was a healthy diet… but I couldn’t lose weight no matter what…

When you start to understand your body, you’ll realize that 80% of your immune system is your gut flora…

Your gut flora is most healthy when it is composed primarily of friendly yeast and bacteria known as probiotics…

Probiotics are what produce energy for you…

Probiotics produce and balance hormones for you…

Probiotics digest the food you eat and turn it into key nutrients and vitamins…

The autoimmune paleo diet introduces fermented foods into your diet which are full of probiotics…

If you have digestive issues, then that means that your gut is toxic…

What makes it toxic is bad food that lacks nutrients… that type of food is hard to digest and break down… probiotics don’t eat junk food… when bad food is introduced to your body, bad bacteria and wild yeast like yeast candida will begin to grow and break down the bad food…

In a way, bad bacteria is still trying to help you break down food, but you’re still not getting nutrients, and bad bacteria produce more toxins which turns this into a vicious cycle… bad bacteria create a toxic environment which makes it more likely for more bad bacteria to grow…

Toxins from bad bacteria will start going after your brain… hello brain fog…

To protect itself, the body will start to stuff your fat cells with toxins… your body has a fixed amount of fat cells… your fat cells expand as they get filled with toxins from bad bacteria in your gut… as you gain body fat, you are not really gaining extra fat cells, your fat cells are just expanding and becoming more and more toxic…

Interesting because when I did the opposite, got rid of vegetable oils and started eating saturated fats I noticed a huge improvement in my energy levels, my hormone production and my ability to lose weight…
