I was sitting in my doctor’s office.
Hair falling out. Brain fog so thick I couldn’t string a sentence together.
And the kind of exhaustion that makes you feel like you’re walking through wet cement.
He looked at my labs. Tilted his head. And said the words I’d come to hate:
“Everything looks normal.”
Then suggested me to try antidepressants. And just like that, the conversation was over.
Because the labs were doing the talking, not me. Not my symptoms. Not my lived experience.
Just a number on a sheet that said I was “fine.” But I didn’t feel fine.
And if you’re still reading, I’m guessing… neither do you.
Here’s what I didn’t understand back then:
TSH, the “gold standard” thyroid lab test, doesn’t actually measure your thyroid. It measures your pituitary gland.
So whether your TSH is high, low, or “normal”… It tells you very little about what’s actually happening inside your body.
But if you Google “thyroid symptoms,” or ask Dr. ChatGPT, or click on WebMD?
You’ll be told that TSH is the marker. That if it’s fine, you’re fine. (Spoiler: you’re not.)
So I started digging. Paid for functional labs. Worked with naturopaths. Learned new acronyms like TPO, TgAb, Free T3, Free T4… And while it gave me more data, it didn’t give me more clarity.
Eventually, I was told I’d need to be on hormones for the rest of my life. No explanation. No strategy. No plan.
That was over ten years ago.
And you’d think with all the advances in tech, we’d know more by now… But honestly?
The mainstream advice hasn’t evolved. It’s still treating symptoms. Still skipping the root cause.
I know this because I tested it. I went to ChatGPT, curious, and asked it the same thyroid questions I get from my clients. And guess what? It regurgitated the same old stuff. Well-meaning, sure. But surface-level. Not wrong, just average. And average advice doesn’t help women battling thyroid fatigue in a natural way without having to take pills for life.
So I started building something better. I started feeding my own AI with my actual protocols. My frameworks. My notes. My unpublished book. The insights I’ve gathered over 8+ years helping real women rebuild energy and heal naturally.
