Before you reach for another thyroid support supplement, stick with me – I’m about to share something with you that could work even better and actually help you beat thyroid fatigue without the need for supplements.

Suppose you’re out looking for the best supplement for thyroid health wondering what supplements improve thyroid function.

What you’ll find is a variety of thyroid support supplements that essentially have a combination of these core ingredients:

  • Iron
  • Selenium
  • Iodine
  • Copper
  • Magnesium
  • Ashwagandha

The mistake people make when looking for supplements is they assume “all” the issues they are dealing with are because of a low thyroid, and that is not always the case. These ingredients can make the issues people are often trying to fix worse like having a hard time getting out of bed in the morning, having no energy to workout, cook or clean, or getting rid of the baby weight. It’s not cool when you gain weight instead of losing it.

Once you learn how to get more energy, you’ll understand why many people will go for these supplements and feel terrible. In some cases they’ll feel nausea, get headaches, heart palpitations or other things.

How to Beat Thyroid Fatigue

Janae was an active mom who would come home from work and felt overwhelmed and exhausted at the thought of having to cook and clean. By 9pm, she’d be in tears with zero energy, but she felt she wouldn’t be a good mom if she didn’t do things for her two teenagers and husband.

When she went to lay down at night, her mind would start racing and her anxiety would ramp up making it impossible to fall asleep.

It doesn’t matter if you are in bed for 12 hours if you toss and turn all night.

So we started digging into her lifestyle and found that she had been following a low fat diet thinking it was healthy. The problem with eating low fat is that the body NEEDS healthy fats for hormone production. Thyroid hormone is not the only hormone that makes you feel tired. If your body doesn’t produce melatonin (the sleeping hormone), then you won’t get deep, restorative sleep. If you don’t get enough REM sleep, then you’ll be a walking zombie if you even manage to get out of bed.

One of the reasons why the body needs healthy fats is because the vitamin that gives you most energy is vitamin D, which happens to be a fat soluble vitamin. That means you need healthy fats in your diet for your body to uptake and use vitamin D.

The best way to get vitamins that your body will uptake is through fermented foods. Vitamin D3 supplements don’t work as well as natural sources of vitamins which come from fermented foods. Fermented cod liver oil, is hands down the best way to boost your vitamin D, which is why we call it the “hypothyroidism energy booster”.

When you add fermented cod liver oil to your diet, you will notice an improvement in your sleep, which will naturally give you energy to start the day strong.

Here’s what Janae has to say about how she replaced all her supplements for thyroid health with this tried and true fermented food.

Supplements to improve thyroid function

Notice how supplements that promise to improve thyroid function have ingredients like iron, selenium, copper, magnesium… which are minerals. So what exactly do these minerals do and which minerals do you really need?

Picture a double AA battery… it stores energy, right?

… but how do you use the energy that’s stored inside the battery cell?

The answer is minerals!!

You would take a conductive mineral like a copper wire and when you connect positive to negative, then voila, you get to use the energy inside the battery cell.

Well, your body is no different. The reason why the cells of your body are called cells is because they too are battery cells and they too store energy. So the way that you get to use the energy inside the cells of your body is by making your body more conductive. The way you make your body more conductive is by mineralizing your body.

There are over 84+ minerals that your body needs.

What happens when you take a supplement like a thyroid support complex that only has a handful of minerals like selenium, copper & magnesium is that you will create further mineral imbalances. In other words, you need to make sure you get ALL the minerals your body needs and not just a handful from a supplement.

This begs the question, where do you get all the minerals your body needs to be conductive?

The answer is simple:

Salt.

… but not all salt is created equal. Iodized salt, which was heavily promoted as being “good for thyroid” because it’s iodized does not contain the minerals that make your body conductive.

Regular sea salt is naturally mineralized. The problem now becomes finding a source of salt that both contains naturally occurring minerals and it’s not contaminated. After years of research, we’ve landed on two sources of salt that meet this criteria.

#1 Large pink Himalayan crystals (for SOLE salt)
#2 Salt from the Great Salt Lake in Utah (known as ionic magnesium)

Large pink Himalayan crystals contain over 84 trace minerals your body needs to be conductive. Salt from the the great salt lake has trace minerals and it’s high in magnesium. Blended together, these two salts give you a well balanced full spectrum of minerals.

In addition to helping you use energy stored in the cells of your body, minerals kickstart the digestive process.

Most people who have low energy, have digestive issues like gas, bloating and constipation. Minerals alone don’t fix these issues. That’s why taking supplements doesn’t work the way proper hydration (water + minerals) does.

Imagine having food undigested in your gut causing gas and bloating. What would help you flush it out, supplements or water?

The answer is water and that’s why we don’t use thyroid supplements. We focus on what works to get more energy.

Salt and fermented cod liver oil are food staples that make thyroid supplements irrelevant. When you learn what foods are good for thyroid you too will see there is no need to waste hundreds on supplements that don’t work and can’t match what you get from natural sources.

This is how we helped Itza beat thyroid fatigue following these two simple steps.

How to get more energy with Hypothyroidism

The key to get energy is learning how to create an environment in your gut for probiotics to grow… minerals are just one of nine steps I use to create this environment…

Sadly, most doctors don’t have a clue about this… thyroid supplements, and programs that promise to “fix your thyroid” don’t understand this either…

I am not a doctor… I only know about this because I was an avid home brewer and studied fermentation, though not for health purposes… I was not into health back then… I was only growing probiotics (brewer’s yeast) to make beer…

… but when I learned that probiotics are what make hormones… all bets were off… I needed to try making the probiotics in my gut as healthy as I could for myself, even if no one else followed…

If you are…

  • Too exhausted to move.
  • Struggling to stay awake
  • Low energy is affecting your work
  • Can’t say yes to active play with your kids (family is frustrated at you)
  • You’ve tried the diets
  • You’ve tried the supplements
  • You’ve adjusted your dose up, down and sideways at this point

… then I’m excited to share with you my Energy Blueprint… I journaled everything I did for over seven years to get rid of thyroid fatigue.

I took out what didn’t work and left only what worked…

I started sharing this with others via my free email newsletter.

When you subscribe to our email newsletter you will learn each step I took to get more energy…

You will start by improving digestion… the first thing you’ll notice is no more gas, bloating or constipation… no more dry skin…

Once you tip that domino, the next step is to improve your sleep… you will learn how to get deep restorative sleep so you wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day…

Your mind will be sharp in the morning… and if your hair is thinning or falling out, you will notice it start to grow thick and strong again.

… and because everything you do is completely natural, the energy you feel will last all day without having to rely on caffeine or thyroid supplements.

So, you’ll notice when you come home after work, you’ll have energy to play with your kids, workout or do whatever activity you feel like because you will have the energy left to do so!
