It is sad to see how many people go to their doctor and are told not to worry about thyroid nodules…
It’s not benign
… they say…
Should you really not worry?
If you have thyroid nodules growing it’s because there’s something you are doing that made them grow and that needs to change…
… but if they tell you not to worry about it, then what happens is that you go home and do nothing different because you are told not to worry about it…
That’s not how we approach thyroid nodules here and here’s why…
Your body is like a petri dish where you get to grow things inside… if you want good health, then you want to grow friendly yeast & bacteria which are also known as probiotics… if you don’t care about health (or if you don’t know) then chances are that you will start to grow wild yeast, bad bacteria or parasites…
Lean in because this is something that will change the way you look at thyroid nodules…
Nodules don’t grow because of probiotics…
Think about that for a second…
A healthy body that has primarily probiotics, is NOT how you get nodules…
So, what’s the other option?
How do thyroid nodules affect weight loss?
What most people don’t know about weight loss is that your gut flora has the biggest impact on weight gain…
There’s two types of gut flora you can have… you can have good or bad… simple…
Good gut flora are called probiotics… “pro” meaning “for”, and “biotics” meaning “life”…
Probiotics are “for life”… they are good because they digest food for you, they make nutrients, vitamins and hormones for you… they produce energy for you… in short, they keep you healthy…
Bad bacteria (yeast overgrowth, mold, parasites, etc.) are considered bad because they don’t make nutrients for you… instead they steal nutrients and worse, they put out toxins…
Toxins produced by bad bacteria in your gut makes you fat…
Toxins are not good for the body… the body protects itself from toxins by stuffing them into your fat cells…
You have a fixed number of fat cells meaning you don’t get extra fat cells when you gain weight… instead what happens is that your fat cells expand as they get filled with toxins…
This creates an environment in your body that allows more bad bacteria to grow and it becomes a vicious cycle where the more toxic you are the harder it is to lose weight…
Can thyroid nodules disappear?
Growing healthy probiotics in your gut is the most effective way to get more energy and lose weight…
80% of your immune system is your gut flora…
If there’s anything growing in your body that is not supposed to, probiotics will be the ones to keep them from growing, unless they become weak…
Nodules don’t cause your probiotics to be weak… it’s weak probiotics that allow nodules to grow…
How do you know if your probiotics are weak?
Probiotics digest food for you…
If you are experiencing gas, bloating or constipation, then that’s a sign…
Probiotics produce energy for you…
If you feel tired all the time, then that’s another sign…
Probiotics produce hormones for you…
Melatonin is the sleeping hormone… if you’re low, you will have a hard time falling or staying asleep…
Serotonin & dopamine are the feel good happy hormones… if you’re low, then depression and anxiety will take place…
Thyroid hormone and all other hormones will be out of balance if your probiotics are weak…
Probiotics help you uptake nutrients…
If you have thyroid dry hair, or your hair starts to thin or hair starts falling off, then that’s another sign that your probiotics are weak…
Thyroid nodules are like a big check engine light that your body is telling you something needs to change! Now…
If you do nothing now, if you don’t change anything, the nodules will only continue to grow and get bigger…
What happens then is that next time you go see your thyroid doctor, they’ll eventually say that the nodules are now bad and you’ll be weighing the pros and cons of thyroid removal…
If you worry about nodules starting now, you can start making changes…
Removing your thyroid won’t fix your gut issues… that means that if you do nothing and end up having your thyroid removed, you’ll still have gut issues that you’ll need to fix… so why wait to make changes?
How long can you live without a thyroid?
Some people will tell you that suspicious thyroid nodules are those that grow larger than 2cm…
Low energy and gaining weight alone should be enough of a sign to get you to make changes…
That’s not always the case…
I didn’t worry as much when I was gaining weight… I was 28 and thought I was just aging…
It wasn’t until my hair started falling off and felt like I was 84 that I started to worry…
