How to eliminate thyroid fatigue and be able to lose weight again
So that was me in 2012... If you asked me what I hated most about hypothyroidism, I would have to say that fatigue and gaining weight no matter what I did were my top two.
Not just gaining weight though... I remember literally putting on like 32 pounds out of nowhere, and feeling like I was just getting bigger and bigger every day.
When my hair started falling off, I decided to look into my health.
I bought into a couple programs to lose weight where you drink shakes and stuff... they didn't work.
I tried going paleo, raw vegan, juicing but there was something else wrong that was causing my fatigue and weight gain...
What I did wasn't something I learned from my doctor... actually, they advised against what I did... go figure...
I didn't learn the solution by reading books or websites on hypothyroidism...
It was almost accidental how I stumbled upon the information that actually worked!
I was reading a book on a completely different subject. The chapter was on how to boost your sex drive and testosterone... and although I didn't know this at the time (you don't know what you don't know), I was practically reading the formula to get your body to balance its hormones AND produce its own hormones!...all hormones...
You know like how to get your body to produce its own THYROID hormones?
The best part... It was simple!
Here's the original Thyroid Hormone Cocktail I came across and want to share with you
- Fermented Cod Liver Oil + Vitamin-Rich Butter Fat - 2 capsules upon waking and 2 before bed
- Vitamin D3 - Reach blood levels of 55ng/mL
- Brazil Nuts - 3 upon waking, 3 before bed (For selenium)
- Ice baths/cold showers -10 minutes each, upon waking and right before bed
Now again... that was more for testosterone, but for thyroid I simply replace the cold showers with iodine (transdermal, not oral) and sure enough I started to feel better...
This was only the beginning...
I started to discover that it wasn't just about the thyroid.
There were other parts like making sure your body gets bioavailable protein so that it can convert T4 into T3 and next thing you know I started to feel better than when I was in my early 20's...
I got back to my normal weight and stayed there!
I started waking up with energy!
Not just "barely enough energy" to get through the day, but I mean way more energy than I needed!!
I honestly didn't think it would be so simple since I had tried just about everything yet I kept feeling drained with zero energy and felt like someone was pumping air inside me as I kept getting bigger and bigger as time went by.
I was so excited, I started to share this with other people I had met with hypothyroidism and they too started to get their energy back and were able to lose weight again!!
Ever since I keep getting asked to put together a step by step guide to help others do the same!
