Fat Loss Blueprint

I know how you feel… I’ve been there… and I felt the same…

I kept gaining weight no matter how little I ate, what diet I tried (keto, paleo, raw vegan, etc.)… if I “starved” myself… if I ate nothing but lean meats (turkey, chicken, etc.,) green veggies, fruits, salads… juiced, smoothies…

I tried it all… and none of it worked…

I gained over 40 pounds in just a couple of months…

My belly would blow up and I’d feel like a whale…

I had no energy…

Would toss and turn all night…

… and my hair started falling off in clumps…

I was sick and tired of feeling miserable so I set out to figure out how to stop gaining weight, start burning fat and lean down…

I started doing what I’m about to share and within a few weeks I was able to see my abs for the very first time in my life at age 36 without spending hours at the gym… mostly through diet…

I started to feel confident in my own body… I no longer felt embarrassed to take my shirt off when paddleboarding…

… and because I had more energy, I started to be more active which is why it’s easier now to stay lean and toned…

This method I’m about to share has been used by others who at some point felt the same as I did…

Like Lisa who had her thyroid removed and couldn’t lose weight no matter what…

Or Cindy who started following this process and started losing weight…

Often times people think that they are gaining weight because of poor thyroid function, menopause, or something mysterious…

They feel like they have no control over this…

… but the answer is much simpler than that… and you can take control of this…

Here’s how it started…

My biggest epiphany came when I realized that the main reason why I kept gaining weight was because my body was toxic…

The more toxic your body is, the more body fat it will produce…

… and the cleaner your body is, the leaner you’ll become…

I had never seen my abs my entire life until I started doing this at age 36…

I wasn’t even trying to lose weight… I was simply detoxing and cleaning up my body…

So how did I start cleaning my body and removing toxic waste to lean down and stay toned?

First step was to understand how toxic waste is produced in the body…

Most of the toxic waste are endotoxins produced in your gut by your gut flora…

… and here’s how people screw up their gut flora (mostly unknowingly)…

#1 Quality of food

One of the hardest things to understand nowadays is “real food”…

What is real food?

It’s sad that we have to really dig into this because most people don’t realize that the food they are eating is not what I call “real” food…

To understand real food VS fake food, you have to understand the mineral and nutrient content of food…

Most food, including some that’s labeled organic is simply not nutrient rich… and that is what begins to affect your gut flora…

80% of your immune system is your gut flora… probiotics…

… but if you don’t take care of your gut, you can grow bad bacteria (yeast overgrowth, parasites, etc.) which are the main source of toxins created in the body, which lead to non stop weight gain…

One way these bad critters colonize in your gut is from eating food devoid of nutrients…

I learned about this from beer brewing literature, because if I didn’t have enough nutrients while making beer, I would be at risk of having yeast mutations and spoiled batches of beer…

In his book New Brewing Lager Beer, Gregory J Noonan points out that

… because a ferment lacks nutrients needed by the culture yeast, or because the temperature or the pH of the ferment does not suit the particular yeast strain does not mean that wild yeast strains, mutations, or other microbes will not find the conditions ideal…

… under hostile conditions, mutations increase dramatically. Either a wild yeast strain or one of these genetically altered mutations may become the dominant fermentation organism, to the detriment or ruin of the finished beer.

… The offending yeast may even be a wild strain of S uvarum… other common spoilage yeasts are torulopsis, candida, dekkera, and pichia species…

This is when it dawned on me that I was dealing with yeast overgrowth and other bad bacteria in my gut…

I was noticing I had strong sugar cravings… which was a big challenge every time I was staring at carbs and avoiding them trying to be good…

I had gas, bloating and constipation…

White tongue…

… and other signs like fatigue & a laundry list of things…

#2 Bad bacteria in your gut

It’s like a spoiled batch of beer!!

That was literally my thought when I was experiencing gas, bloating, and constipation…

Sugar cravings made sense…

Most importantly, I understood that when you have bad bacteria in your gut, it doesn’t matter how healthy you eat, because you are feeding bad bacteria in your gut… whether it’s yeast overgrowth, parasites, etc.

… the reason why they are considered “bad” is because:

#1 they make no nutrients for you

#2 they create toxic byproducts when they eat your food

Those toxic byproducts are what you need to get rid of if you are gaining weight non stop…

… because as long as you have bad bacteria in your gut, then almost no matter what you try, it won’t work… even if you “starve” yourself (which can make things worse)…

When you restructure your gut flora, get rid of bad bacteria and grow probiotics in your gut, losing weight becomes almost effortless…

So the question is… how do you create an environment for probiotics to thrive and bad bacteria to go away?

#3 What to know before you start cleaning up your gut

Cleaning up your gut is a daunting task… I’m not going to sugar coat it…

You need to know what you are up against and it ain’t pretty, but what choice do you have?

Exactly…

So, here’s the big picture idea you have to understand when it comes to cleaning up your gut…

Bad bacteria and parasites don’t want to leave your body… why would they? you feed them everyday don’t you?

Maybe you haven’t thought about it this way before… so lean in and pay attention because there’s a lot to learn when it comes to cleaning the body…

There’s no single herb, juice, shake, that will magically fix this…

… and throwing herbs and cleanses at bad bacteria isn’t going to make them go away… they will simply move locations and do what they can to survive and stay in your body…

If you do this wrong, you can end up worse after a detox or cleanse… which is why it’s important to study this and take it seriously… I recommend working with a professional who can guide you through this…

I am not a doctor and this information is for education and entertainment purposes only because I mean c’mon… I’m talking about brewing beer concepts… I find that quite ironic that it’s what helped me understand how to clean and strengthen my gut…

Here’s the deal…

It’s not just your gut you are trying to clean, but really your entire body…

Your gut is where most of the toxins will drain and get flushed out… but that’s not where you start…

There’s a gut-brain connection that you need to practice… because it’s not just about your gut… you must also detox your mind… especially if you are stressed or have anxiety…

I teach a full module on anxiety inside our 6 week [Energy Bootcamp] because I believe this affects gut health as well…

Now, the most important thing to know before getting started is that bad bacteria will fight back… they have a survival instinct just like every other living creature… which is why I stay away from anything that “kills” bad bacteria, parasites, etc…

… again, I’m not a doctor… I’m a beer brewer and this is my beer diet project… I’m simply sharing my journey as I go along…

I’m not an expert… I’m a student and I’m learning just as much by sharing my journey…

So here we go…

The first step towards cleaning up your gut is intracellular cleansing…

This starts with…

#1 Proper hydration
#2 Good vitamin D levels
#3 Good mitochondria function

The first requisite to be able to start cleaning and detoxing your body is to know how to get more energy and sleep better…

It’s important to be able to get energy and get good sleep because that’s what the body needs to recover and to fight off infections (bad bacteria, etc.)…

If you have no energy or have a hard time falling or staying asleep then doing a detox can make things worse…

… better stated… detoxing will make things worse initially before it gets better through what’s called a healing crisis (also known as a Herxheimer reaction, detox reaction, or cleansing reaction)…

This happens especially when you over do a detox…

… that’s a key thing to know… it’s not a matter of “if” you’ll overdo a detox… it’s a matter of when…

I hear from many people who did a detox, some were told to do them by a health professional… and they ended up worse because they over did their detox and didn’t know how to get their energy back or get good sleep…

To get more energy and sleep better you have to practice hydration, raising your vitamin D levels naturally through sunshine and diet, and improving your mitochondria function

#4 What is a Healing Crisis?

Think about it this way… when your body produces toxins, it will do everything it can to flush them out…

When your filters (liver, kidneys, lymph, etc.) get clogged, you begin to accumulate toxins…

To protect itself from these toxins, your body begins to produce body fat…

Body fat will mask the effects of toxins in your body, but as you begin to accumulate more toxins and more body fat you will feel its effects by feeling more and more tired as your toxicity levels rise…

… and if it gets really bad… I don’t know how else to say it but I personally didn’t feel like myself… definitely not normal…

I was tired all the time and would toss and turn all night…

I’d wake up and walk like a zombie…

This is why I believe that if you are gaining weight, you are not gaining fat, you are becoming more toxic…

When you begin to detox, you will start to burn fat which will release toxins back into your body… In other words, when you detox you will expose your body to these toxins once again as they make their way out of the body…

If you are able to flush them out, a healing crisis will be short, but you will still feel the effects of being exposed to toxins at least momentarily…

If you are unable to flush out toxins out of the body, that’s when detoxing and cleansing can go wrong… which is why this should be done gradually…

Start out with mild detoxing and as you begin to clean up your body it will get easier… and you will have more energy & feel better which will allow you to do more aggressive detoxing if you wish to speed up the process…

#5 How to start your detox

In our program [Body Bootcamp] we walk our [Energy Bootcamp] graduates through the process we use to clean up every filter of the body starting with the liver, kidneys, gut and lymph system…

The liver is where we start since that’s the filter most used by the body to get rid of toxins…

When your liver is toxic, functions like thyroid hormone T4 to T3 conversion begins to drop… you start to lose the ability to focus and concentrate…

When you begin to detox, most of the toxins will go through the liver on it’s way out of the body… if your liver is already toxic, it’s more likely to get clogged by doing a cleanse or detox… that’s why it’s important to make sure that your liver is clean and that you are able to flush toxins out of the body…

Since detoxing will expose you to toxins, you’ll want to ensure your body is producing energy… this is why we start our detoxing journey focusing on the liver with our Energy Jumpstart Kit…

Once you start to clean up your liver, you can start to detox the rest of your body which varies depending on your microbiome…
