[Energy Bootcamp]

Learn how to get more energy, sleep better, and feel better…

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”16″ font_font=”Droid%20Sans”]I have a friend who happens to be a doctor… and I remember the first time I asked him “what can you tell me about hypothyroidism?”

He said (as a friend to a friend) “if you have hypothyroidism they’ll put you on thyroid hormones and you’ll have to take them for the rest of your life”…

That’s it.

That’s all there was to it…

In… his…mind…

… as seems to be in the minds of most doctors…

In my mind, I refused to accept that as my faith.

Inside, I shook my head “no”… and said “uh uh” to myself. No way this will be a “forever” thing. The idea of going through this as long as I was alive was a nightmare.

Hypothyroidism is ROUGH to live with.

I was tired all the time, had brain fog, had a hard time falling asleep…

I’d wake up and walk like a zombie…

Some days are worse than others.

A forever thing?

No way…

I needed to figure something out.

If I really need hormones, then sure, I’ll take supplements but most importantly I wanted to know why my body wasn’t producing hormones and what to do about it.

So when I finally figured it out, I had my biggest epiphany about hypothyroidism… the definition.

See I believe there is a huge flaw in the definition of hypothyroidism “underactive thyroid disease – meaning the thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough hormones”

Here’s why I think it’s flawed…

If the ONLY problem was an underactive thyroid then taking more hormones should fix it right?

… but that’s not always the case.

I’ve met so many people who are losing their hair, have brittle nails, are tired all the time, have brain fog and keep gaining weight even though their lab test numbers are normal… (it seems like this is the only goal doctors have… get your numbers to be normal, nevermind how you feel)

I don’t know if this is normal, but the doctors I went to didn’t listen to me about my symptoms… it was all about the lab numbers. Everything else was just in my head… “psychosomatic” they call it.

The only solutions doctors seem to offer are to medicate, radiate or cut.

I think I’ll keep my thyroid, thank you.

That’s when I realized my doctor’s ability to help me had ended

If I wanted to get my energy back and lose weight again, I needed to go explore on my own.

Why is it that so many people are still fatigued and gaining weight out of control even after taking thyroid hormones??

I remember back in 2012… I put on 32 pounds out of nowhere… this was just before the holidays too!… by the time holidays were over I was probably closer to 46 pounds heavier than I had been just a few weeks ago![/text_block]

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”16″ font_font=”Droid%20Sans”]That’s when I came across a hypothyroidism education program that talked about how the thyroid works. It pointed out that the thyroid produces primarily T4 hormone, but THE LIVER converts T4 into T3… (Hint: The body functions on T3 primarily, not T4)…

So even though the thyroid produces thyroid hormone, the liver makes it “active”…. That’s why when my liver was not functioning properly converting T4 into T3, I became fatigued and gained weight out of control.

That’s why in my opinion… hear… me… out…

It. Is. Not. “Just”. An underactive thyroid…

It could be… but…

I have found it could be an underactive thyroid or a liver malfunction or BOTH… but not “just the thyroid”.

Makes sense?

It doesn’t end there, though

Once the liver converts the thyroid hormone T4 into T3, it needs to enter the bloodstream and get delivered to the cells of your body… this is where different toxins and hormone imbalances keep your body from using the thyroid hormone it just made.

Again, it’s not just the thyroid you need to worry about. There’s the liver, toxins, gut problems… I don’t even want to get into all the digestive issues and allergies I went through before I figured this out… including breaking out in hives with over ⅔… maybe ¾ of my body attacking itself…[/text_block]

[text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left” font_size=”16″ font_font=”Droid%20Sans”]It was painful just to watch.

That’s how I started to understand why there are many people who take T4 hormones and still feel like crap. Even people who switch to taking both T4 and T3 may still be struggling with autoimmune problems, weight and fatigue. That’s because they are not addressing the root cause.

Is it the thyroid?
Is it the liver?
Is it toxins?
Is it your gut?
Is it the active thyroid hormones T3 turning into “reverse T3”?

This is more or less the path I had to go through… my journey involved answering these and other questions for myself.

So if you take thyroid hormones and feel good, then congratulations, you’re set.

… but if you feel tired all the time, have a hard time falling asleep, have brain fog or anxiety then you can go through our “Energy Bootcamp” to start getting your energy back, sleep better, and feel better…

Without this information, most people with hypothyroidism have no shot at getting better and here’s why…

My epiphany came when I learned that 80% of your immune system is your gut flora… probiotics… gut friendly yeast and bacteria…

Your gut flora makes vitamins, HORMONES, and other key nutrients for you!

As a beer brewer I realized that these are the same probiotics we used to make fermented foods and beverages like beer, wine, sauerkraut, kimchi, yogurt, etc.

So I started using the ancient wisdom of fermentation to grow probiotics, restructure my gut flora and optimize my microbiome…

When people reach out to me and ask for help, the first question I ask them is “Do you know which foods help you produce hormones? And which inhibit hormone production?”

Most say “no”

(it’s not goitrogenic foods by the way)

That’s why I started my Beer Diet Project to document how I optimize my microbiome to get more energy, sleep better, and feel better.

When you go through Beer Diet Project you’ll learn…

  • The 3 things you must add to your diet to get your energy back and why supplements don’t work when you have gut issues like Hashimoto’s, leaky gut, etc.
  • Why low thyroid function isn’t what makes you feel tired all the time… do this instead to improve your sleep and wake up with more energy…
  • If your hair is thinning and falling out in clumps, you’re likely deficient in this one nutrient… (plus the best source to get it from)
  • Energy thieves… what really causes chronic fatigue and what to do about it…

You’ll be learning the foundation and foods to eat to help your body produce hormones, especially thyroid hormones which is key to eliminating fatigue for good.

Just imagine waking up with so much energy it forces you to become active again (I have a lot of nephews 2-8 year olds who used to wear me out… now I can play with them and wear THEM out)

Imagine fitting in your clothes again and making brain fog a thing of the past.

When I looked to hire a hormone specialist, I found she charged $7,800 for six month program so I could get my energy back… (and the program is not as effective as what I came up with)

To me waking up with so much energy that I remember having to drop to the floor and crank out push ups at 5 am… be able to move around and live life again, it would’ve been totally worth it…

I was personally spending thousands on supplements that didn’t work…

Frustrated with all the confusion online (do this, don’t do that)… until I finally figured out what works to get more energy…

… but don’t take it from me…

Here’s what people who have gone through my programs are saying…[/text_block]
