How to get energy with Hashimoto's

Did your doctor tell you about minerals?

Mine didn't... I have a friend who happens to be a doctor… and I remember the first time I asked him “what can you tell me about hypothyroidism?”

He said (as a friend to a friend) “if you have hypothyroidism you'll need thyroid hormones and you’ll have to take them for the rest of your life”...

That’s it.

That’s all there was to it…

In... his...mind…

… as seems to be in the minds of most doctors...

In my mind, I refused to accept that as my faith.

Inside, I shook my head “no”... and said “uh uh” to myself.

No way this will be a “forever” thing.

The idea of going through this as long as I was alive was a nightmare.

Hypothyroidism is ROUGH to live with.

Fatigued all the time, toss and turn all night, wake up with horrible brain fog, hair falling out... I can keep going with a laundry list of things...

A forever thing?

No way...

I needed to figure something out.

If I really need hormones, then sure, I’ll take supplements but most importantly I wanted to know why my body wasn’t producing hormones and what to do about it.

So when I finally figured it out, I couldn't believe it was so simple...

Getting More Energy Starts With Minerals

Why minerals?

... because probiotics need minerals to digest food for you...

Food is supposed to give you energy...

Food is energy, but probiotics are what take food energy and convert it into a form of energy that your body can use...

Without probiotics, you can't get food from energy...

So, how do you know if you are mineral deficient?

If you are not digesting food properly, then that's a huge sign that you are mineral deficient...

If you eat and feel like taking a nap rather than get a boost of energy... that's a sign that you are mineral deficient...

If you get gas, bloating or constipation... that's a sign that you are not digesting food properly because you are mineral deficient...

How to get more energy with Hashimoto's

Once I learned about minerals, I started to add minerals to my drinking water...

I refused to accept having to rely on supplements, so I looked into a natural way to get minerals, and I found that minerals are found in salt. Not all salt has minerals...

Iodized salt, which is commonly promoted as being "good for thyroid," ironically has no minerals. Regular sea salt, which is natural and unaltered, has a full spectrum of minerals. Interesting that they are required to include in their label a disclaimer saying "This salt does not supply iodide, a necessary nutrient."

This is important to know, because many people are under the impression that iodized salt is good and mineralized salt is bad...

After spending years with zero energy and getting my energy back, I found that minerals are the key...

One last thing... many sea salt brands come from parts of the world where there are now contaminants in the ocean. That's a different problem, but not all is lost.

I found that the best source of minerals comes from pink Himalayan salt crystals. I sourced out large crystals because they are clean unlike the stone ground version that you find at your grocery store.

So don't buy pink Himalayan salt from grocery stores. Get large crystals for SOLE salt to ensure it's not contaminated.

Another great source of minerals is salt from the Great Salt Lake in Utah. This salt is high in magnesium and you can find it sold as ionic magnesium.

Ionic magnesium is one of the most important minerals needed for digestion and hormone production.

Hydrating Water

1 Quart of water
2 mL of ionic magnesium
4 mL of SOLE salt

This is just the starting point...

... and what I look for more than anything is an improvement in digestion...

If you try this and see an improvement in digestion, then you are ready for The Better Sleep challenge...

There are other factors that affect how well your body uptakes minerals, including making sure that you are drinking clean water...

We cover all of this in more detail in our Hydration Challenge...

What's important to know now, is that there is something you can do to get more energy despite what health professionals say...

Here's a quick success story from Terra who was able to get more energy with Hashimoto's by going through the hydration challenge and better sleep challenge...

See I believe there is a huge flaw in the definition of hypothyroidism “underactive thyroid disease - meaning the thyroid gland doesn’t produce enough hormones”

Here’s why I think it’s flawed…

If the ONLY problem was an underactive thyroid then taking more hormones should fix it right?

… but that’s not always the case.

I’ve met so many people who are losing their hair, have brittle nails, are tired all the time, have brain fog and keep gaining weight even though their lab test numbers are normal…

(It seems like this is the only goal doctors have… to get your numbers to be normal, nevermind how you feel)

They'll adjust your dose up and down... up until you get heart palpitations & panic attacks, then down until you ask for more because you don't feel normal no matter what...

I don’t know if this is the case for most, but the doctors I went to didn’t listen to me about my symptoms… it was all about the lab numbers.

Everything else was just in my head… “psychosomatic” they call it.

The worst part is if they "magically" get your numbers to show up as normal, but you don't feel normal... then they call you crazy and give you more pills...

The only solutions doctors offer you are to medicate, radiate or cut.

I think I’ll keep my thyroid, thank you.

That’s when I realized my doctor’s ability to help me had ended...

If I wanted to get my energy back and lose weight again, I needed to go explore on my own.

Why is it that so many people are still fatigued, losing their hair, and gaining weight out of control even after taking thyroid hormones??

I remember back in 2012… I put on 32 pounds out of nowhere… this was just before the holidays too!... by the time holidays were over I was probably closer to 46 pounds heavier than I had been just a few weeks ago!

That’s when I came across a hypothyroidism education program that talked about how the thyroid works. It pointed out that the thyroid produces primarily T4 hormone, but THE LIVER converts T4 into T3…

(Hint: The body functions on T3 primarily, not T4)...

So even though the thyroid produces thyroid hormone, the liver makes it “active”...

That’s when I understood the thyroid wasn't the only one to blame...

... because if my liver was not functioning properly converting T4 into T3, I would become fatigued and gained weight out of control.

That’s why in my opinion... hear... me... out...

It...

Is...

Not...

... “Just” an underactive thyroid…

It could be…

... but...

I have found it could be an underactive thyroid or a liver malfunction or BOTH… but not “just the thyroid”.

Makes sense?

It doesn’t end there, though...

Once the liver converts the thyroid hormone T4 into T3, it needs to enter the bloodstream and get delivered to the cells of your body… this is where different toxins and hormone imbalances keep your body from using the thyroid hormone it just made.

Again, it’s not just the thyroid you need to worry about. There’s the liver, toxins, gut problems…

I don’t even want to get into all the digestive issues and allergies I went through before I figured this out…

... including breaking out in hives with over ⅔… maybe ¾ of my body attacking itself...

elevated liver enzymes autoimmune hives

It was painful just to watch.

That’s how I started to understand why there are many people who take T4 hormones and still feel like crap.

Even people who switch to taking both T4 and T3 may still be struggling with autoimmune problems, hair loss, weight and fatigue. That’s because they are not addressing the root cause.

Is it the thyroid?
Is it the liver?
Is it toxins?
Is it your gut?
Is it the active thyroid hormones T3 turning into “reverse T3”?

This is more or less the path I had to go through… my journey involved answering these and other questions for myself.

So if you take thyroid hormones and feel good, then congratulations, you’re set.

… but if you feel tired all the time, have a hard time falling asleep, have brain fog or anxiety then you can look into what I did to get more energy, sleep better and lose weight...

I documented everything I did into what I call [Energy Bootcamp]...

... and you can start going through it now...

Imagine waking up feeling refreshed with energy and no brain fog...

Imagine losing weight and staying lean and toned...

It is possible and you're about to learn how...

Yes... this does really work and I want to prove it...
