Does a low thyroid make you tired?
Many people I talk to make the mistake of thinking that the thyroid is responsible for giving your body energy.
... but soon, you will learn why the thyroid has little to do with your ability to get more energy.
If you talk to people with hypothyroidism, you'd be surprised to find how many of them get labs that show all their numbers being normal and yet, they feel tired all the time.
So, if the thyroid isn't what determines how much energy you have, then what does?
Food is supposed to give you energy... if you want to get more energy, then you need to understand how to transfer food energy into energy that your body can use.
Here's how it works... ask yourself:
How does a tree get nutrients in the soil to the leaves and fruits on its branches?
Probiotics that live in the root system of the tree draw nutrients from the soil and transfers them to the rest of the tree, just like probiotics in your gut digest food and help deliver nutrients (energy) to the rest of your body.
The problem that most people have is that they have weak probiotics and therefore they have poor digestion.
Gas, bloating and constipation are indicators that you have weak probiotics and that's what's keeping you from getting the energy that you want...
Other indicators of weak probiotics are poor sleep, brain fog, hair thinning or falling out, or the inability to gain or lose weight.
This is pretty embarrassing for me to share openly, but one time I got home after visiting friends at a brewery. I got the 3pm thyroid crash and fell asleep on the couch.
My girlfriend at the time wasn't sure how to break it to me, but I had been passing gas for like two hours non-stop.
I remember constantly feeling bloated and constipated, but this was reaching a peak that didn't feel normal.
So, I started looking into why I was soooo gassy. I came across an article that mentioned yeast candida.
... and suddenly, it clicked!!
I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of this before. My background is in brewing beer. I used to watch brewer's yeast create gas as a byproduct when fermenting beer... it was an exciting moment to watch the airlock bubble when brewing, but now I was wondering about yeast candida producing gas in my gut, which wasn't nearly as exciting.
There's an important distinction to make here. Yeast candida is a wild yeast that's considered bad. Brewer's yeast is a probiotic that is considered good.
There's one thing I knew from brewing beer: the environment in the brew is what determines how strong probiotics get. A toxic environment weakens probiotics and allows bad bacteria like wild yeast to grow.
When I ask people what they are doing to get more energy I get all kinds of answers like...
"I try to eat healthy"
"I eat gluten-free"
"I eat dairy-free"
"I cut out sugar"
"I eat organic"
"I eat vegan"
"I eat carnivore"
"I eat keto"
.... none of that works... many times it makes it worse...
"Nutrition programs" and supplements are useless if you don't have the right environment in your gut...
Imagine cooking a meal and then realizing you don't have any clean dishes to serve up your meal... you look over at your kitchen sink and see a pile of dirty dishes with food still stuck from the previous day...
You wouldn't take a dirty dish and serve up your freshly cooked meal on top of that dirty dish would you?
I hope your answer is "no"...
... but if your gut is toxic, then that's exactly what you are doing...
If your gut is toxic, it means that it's dirty... it means there is likely food left undigested from the previous day (or days in many cases)...
Suppose you are doing everything you are being told to do by health professionals... you are going on a "nutrition program", cutting out bad foods and taking a handful of supplements... can you see why it doesn't matter how healthy you eat if the food is going into a toxic environment in your gut?
A toxic environment means you have weak probiotics and are growing bad bacteria.
You could even be taking a probiotic supplement, but it doesn't matter...
I hear people tell me "I'm already taking probiotics"... or "I'm already eating sauerkraut, drinking kombucha, kefir, etc...)
It doesn't matter if you are taking probiotics because they won't survive in a toxic environment... the probiotics you take will be weakened as soon as they are immersed in a toxic environment.
A toxic environment is toxic because it gives growth to all sorts of bad bacteria, wild yeast (like yeast candida), mold, parasites, etc.
That's why it doesn't matter how healthy you try to eat at this point, because every time you eat, you feed your gut flora, which includes both the probiotics that give you energy and the bad bacteria that drain your energy (if your gut is toxic...)
Bad bacteria drain your energy...
Probiotics digest food for you and turn it into the key nutrients and vitamins your body needs to get energy... you know if probiotics are digesting food for you when you have regular bowel movements and feel energy after eating...
If you feel like taking a nap after eating, or get gas and bloating that makes you feel like your pants shrink as the day goes on, then that's a sign that your gut is toxic and every time you eat you are making it worse...
This is especially true if you are constantly constipated or get diarrhea, then the environment in your gut is toxic and that's why no supplement or "nutrition program" that you try will ever work...
The key to get energy that lasts all day is to create the right environment for probiotics to grow...
Creating an environment for probiotics to grow is the most effective way to get more energy...
I went from feeling tired all the time to having energy that lasts all day because I created an environment to grow healthy probiotics in my gut... you too can do this following this simple method that takes less than two minutes a day...
What I did to get more energy was so stupid simple, it shocks most people...
Being a beer brewer gave me some good insights that are slap-in-the-face common sense.
I asked myself, what would I do if this were a batch of beer that had yeast candida (bad).
Simple...
I would clean the equipment (my gut.) So what do I need to clean?
Clean water.
Duh... I know...
... but I wasn't drinking much water and was now realizing I was chronically dehydrated. I wasn't digesting food right, so I kept asking these questions.
When brewing beer, how did I digest starch in barley grain and convert it into sugar?
Another simple answer... I add water with minerals to grains to kickstart the digestive process.
Oh my... could it really be as simple as drinking clean water with minerals to kickstart the digestive process in my gut?
The answer is a resounding "YES"!!!
It sounds almost too simple, but most people don't do this. This is the very first step to getting energy that lasts all day.
If you think this can't be it, please watch this video where Christina talks about her experience going through the 5-Day Energy Challenge which involves a simple "salt trick" to improve hydration.
(Don't buy my program!!! buy these tools instead and get results... once you see a boost of energy, then we can talk...)
The 5-day energy challenge is simple. Aim to drink 2 to 4 quarts of mineralized water a day.
Mineralized water recipe:
1 Quart of clean water
2 mL ionic magnesium
4 mL SOLE salt
An hour before bed, take 4 capsules of fermented cod liver oil & butter oil.
That's it! You should start to notice a boost in energy in as little as five days!
The 5-Day Energy Challenge is just the tip of the iceberg... but if you simply add these to your daily routine, you will be shocked how much it helps when you get to two weeks. Some people may notice a difference much faster. Others may take up to four weeks.
Again, this is just the tip of the iceberg, but I want you to get results before you even start looking at any of our programs.
